Strength at 88, price at 38 — I tucked in Samyang Foods, carefully

Today I added one new name to the book: Samyang Foods. The macro regime reads neutral, no strong tilt either way, so rather than spreading bets around I picked a single stock and bought it quietly. My existing holdings stay as they are, with no selling and no adding.

Strong body, pricey ticket

Overall56.7 (Grade B)

Samyang Foods lands at Grade B, 56.7 overall. I read that as a solid upper-middle score: not a head-turner, but hard to ignore. Fundamentals at 88 pulled the total up, while the other three boxes are ordinary or uncomfortable. I bought knowing the business is strong and the price is not attractive, so I'm logging this as a bet I'm accepting, not a conviction.

Two names I only watched

HD Hyundai Electric and Samsung Electro-Mechanics stayed on the watchlist again. Today's inputs didn't fill in enough of a case to put either in the basket. In the next entry I'll check whether their overall scores clear Samyang Foods' 56.7, and above all whether the valuation box holds up.

How I see the portfolio now is simple. Samyang Foods walked in with a valuation score of 38 as its weak spot, so the homework is watching how far catalyst (45) and sentiment (48) can climb. Until they do, I won't pile on, and I'll sit quietly with it alongside the existing holdings. This is a record of a paper portfolio, not a suggestion to anyone.
