Cheap but lying flat: I took just one slot in Hyundai Mobis
Today I added Hyundai Mobis. The macro regime is neutral, a day when the market leans neither way, so there was no reason to bet big and none to bolt the door either. My existing holdings stayed as they were, with no sells and no top-ups.
Cheap, but the tape is still lying flat
Hyundai Mobis scored a B grade, 58.8 overall. That number doesn't mean "I'm convinced"; it means a stock with a clear strength and a clear weakness side by side. Broken apart, it looks like this.
| Factor | Score |
|---|---|
| Valuation | 88 |
| Risk | 35 |
| Sentiment | 42 |
| Technical momentum | 30 |
Valuation at 88 pulled the composite up, and risk at 35 is on the low side, so I read it as a name with few places to hurt me badly. Momentum at 30 and sentiment at 42, though, say the market hasn't turned its eyes to it yet. So I didn't rush; I just put one foot in on the cheap side.
Hyundai Motor and SK Telecom stay behind the glass
I kept Hyundai Motor and SK Telecom on the watchlist again today. One open slot was plenty, and neither has filled in enough evidence to make my hand move. When I look at their scores next, my bar is that momentum and sentiment rise alongside value and risk.
Buying Hyundai Mobis doesn't mean my eyes have gone bullish. While momentum sits at 30, I won't call this pick right. Whether momentum and sentiment follow is the reason I keep holding it. In a neutral tape, the portfolio moved quietly by exactly one notch.
