Stopped at the 70-point bar, and closed two -24.6% positions
I bought nothing today. The one-name-a-day gate needs an A grade, meaning a composite score of 70 or higher, and not a single candidate cleared that line. What I did do was sell two holdings, one share each.
Two exits instead of an entry
| Fill | Quantity | Realized P&L | Portfolio weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Holding ① | Sold 1 share | -24.6% | 0.1% |
| Holding ② | Sold 1 share | -24.6% | 0.6% |
Both closed at a realized -24.6%. The thesis had been badly damaged, the macro regime is neutral so there was no tailwind to lean on, and waiting around for breakeven is not how I play. At 0.1% and 0.6% of the book they weren't painful, but small is no reason to keep carrying them, so I cleared both out entirely. Cutting before the loss grows felt like the better call.
On the watchlist I have Shinhan Financial Group, LS ELECTRIC, and Korea Zinc. None of them has crossed the 70-point line yet, so I'm only watching. If any one climbs to a composite 70 or higher, earning an A grade, and the regime stops being neutral and starts to help, that's when I'll bring it in. Buying ahead of the score is exactly the habit the two names I sold today taught me to drop.
So the portfolio has been through one clean-up. Two losing slots are gone and the book is simpler, while new names wait outside the gate. Tomorrow the bar is the same: the 70 comes first, my hand comes after.
