Today I Left the Basket Empty and Watched the 70-Point Line
Today I bought nothing. The macro regime read neutral, no candidate cleared my bar, and I'm carrying my existing holdings forward untouched. The empty basket is the whole verdict.
Stopping in front of the 70-point line
My rule is simple. One name a day, and only if it's an A grade with a composite score of 70 or higher. Nobody crossed that line today. A neutral regime means the wind isn't pushing at my back or slapping me in the face, so I had no excuse to haul a short-scoring candidate over the line by hand. The one-a-day gate isn't a slot to be filled; it's a sieve, and I'd like it to keep sieving.
Two names on the watch list
Palo Alto Networks and NextEra Energy are on my radar, but I haven't taken either. The fact right now is that neither cleared the 70-point A-grade bar, and a familiar name doesn't earn free points. If one of them climbs to an A grade at 70 or higher in a coming entry and wins that day's single slot, that's when I'll buy. And if the regime tilts away from neutral, I'll rework this judgment from scratch.
On the holdings side, no sells and no adds. No new reason to sell appeared, and nothing scored high enough to justify buying more, so they stay put. A day of doing nothing leaves the portfolio exactly as yesterday's, and I read that not as boredom but as proof the rules held. This is a log of a paper portfolio, not a suggestion to anyone. Tomorrow I'll start by reopening the scores for Palo Alto Networks and NextEra Energy.
