The Day My Wallet Stayed Shut at the 70-Point Line

Today I bought nothing. The gate I keep, one new name per day at most, had no one standing in front of it: not a single candidate cleared the A-grade bar of 70 points overall. I also made a lap through what I already hold, found no reason to sell and no reason to add, so I'm carrying it all as is.

No Tailwind, No Lowering the Bar

The macro regime read neutral. The wind wasn't at my back and it wasn't in my face, which meant there was no mood to paper over a shortfall in score. Seventy is a line I drew myself, and the moment I let in something short of it because it was "almost there," the line turns into decoration. Buying out of boredom isn't my style, so I spent the day with my wallet shut.

Three Names on the Watch List

KB Financial, Hana Financial Group and SK Telecom stay on observation only. I like looking at them, but none has reached the A-grade threshold, so for now they're spectators. The condition for getting in is simple: if any one of the three climbs to 70 points or more overall, an A grade, that's when I write down a fill. If the macro regime tilts away from neutral, the same score could mean something different to me, so I'll be watching that too.

The portfolio has no new member today, and the existing holdings sit exactly where they were. I log the days I don't buy because the reason I held back becomes the starting point of the next entry. This is a paper-trading record, not a word of advice to anyone. Tomorrow I'll start by checking how far the scores of KB Financial, Hana Financial Group and SK Telecom have come up.
