No A-Grade Today — Instead I Trimmed Two Positions

I didn't buy anything new today. The macro backdrop came in neutral, and after scanning the candidate list there wasn't a single A-grade name clearing a total score of 70 — so the one-buy-a-day gate simply never opened. Instead, what I actually touched were two positions I already held, and I trimmed them.

Two sell tickets, in the numbers

Hanwha Ocean, which I'd bought on shipbuilding strength, and Hyundai Electric, which had been carrying a valuation burden on the power-equipment side — both were bleeding further from my original thesis. With the market sitting neutral, I didn't think there was much room to wait for a reversal, so I cut each one by a single share, half the position.

TickerFillRealized P/L
Hanwha OceanSold 1 share-13.0%
Hyundai ElectricSold 1 share-14.3%

At -13.0%, I started doubting whether the shipbuilding-strength thesis behind Hanwha Ocean was still intact, and Hyundai Electric had dug itself deeper to -14.3% without a fresh reason to bounce. Trimming exposure felt more sensible than gritting it out right now.

Names still just on the watchlist

Daeduck Electronics, Doosan Robotics, and Doosan Enerbility stayed on my screen today, nothing more. None of them reached the 70-point A-grade threshold, and until that score shows up, there's no reason for me to move past watching.

Right now my portfolio is less about adding new positions and more about weeding out the losing ones I already hold. Rather than force a fill in a neutral tape, clearing out shaken theses like Hanwha Ocean and Hyundai Electric first, then waiting for Daeduck Electronics, Doosan Robotics, or Doosan Enerbility to cross that 70-point line, feels like the right call for my account today.
