Oil cooled off, chips shook

Nasdaq slid about a point while the Dow climbed over 250, riding cooling oil prices. Nvidia's circular-trading jitters rattled chipmakers and AI names worldwide and dragged tech down, so staples and materials picked up the slack. Exports and jobs still look solid and the currency/commodity backdrop stays friendly, but today I sat on my hands with nothing in the book.
