No A-Grade, No Buy — So I Did Some Pruning Instead

No new buy today. The regime stayed risk_on, but not a single candidate cleared the A-grade bar of 70+ overall, so nothing passed my one-name-a-day buy gate. Mirae Asset Securities, LG Energy Solution, and Hanwha Aerospace stayed on the watchlist only — I didn't touch them.

Three losers, trimmed by half

Hanwha Ocean, whose shipbuilding thesis had been cracking, got 3 shares sold for a realized -11.6% (-11.56%). Losing ground even in a risk-on tape is a sign the momentum broke, so I closed half instead of all of it to stop the bleeding. Orion, a consumer-staples defensive name, saw 1 share sold for a realized -9.4% (-9.35%), and KEPCO, a utility defensive, had 5 shares sold for a realized -8.9% (-8.90%) — both get left behind in this kind of tape, so I cut exposure.

Three winners, sized up

On the other side, I added to what's catching the tailwind. Poongsan, on the copper-and-defense theme, sits at +7.19% and I added 9 shares to lift its weight to 7.2%. Samsung Electronics, riding the semiconductor upcycle thesis, sits at +11.31% and I added 3 shares to bring its weight to 9.0%. Hanmi Semiconductor, on equipment order momentum, sits at +12.06% and I added 2 shares to bring its weight to 6.3%. None of the three is anywhere near the 40% cap, so there was room to add.

So today's book tilted away from defensives and toward names that actually fit a risk-on tape. Mirae Asset Securities, LG Energy Solution, and Hanwha Aerospace only become real signals once they cross 70 points into A-grade, so until then they just stay on watch.
