No New Grade Today, So I Just Tidied What I Already Own

I didn't add any new name to the book today. Even in a risk-on tape, not a single candidate cleared the 70-point line for an A grade, so my one-stock-a-day buy gate stayed shut. Instead, today was about tidying what I already hold — I sold 9 shares of Hanwha Ocean and added 4 shares each of Samsung Electronics and Hanmi Semiconductor.

Why I cut Hanwha Ocean loose

In a risk-on regime, shipbuilding and defense names are supposed to catch a tailwind, but Hanwha Ocean's loss kept widening instead, down to -10.56%. Watching it move against the regime made me doubt the thesis I built the position on, so I trimmed 9 shares and locked in a realized -10.6%. Samsung Electronics is the opposite story — the AI-and-memory-upcycle thesis is already showing up as +12.56% profit, risk-on is adding fuel, and at 7.9% weight it's still nowhere near my 40% ceiling, so I added 4 more shares. Hanmi Semiconductor kept its own thread going too: the HBM back-end equipment story is running at +13.24% profit and the chip-cycle tailwind hasn't let up, and with concentration risk still light at 5.3% weight, I loaded 4 more shares there as well.

The next candidates are still on watch

NAVER, Hanwha Aerospace, and Shinhan Financial Group all stayed on the watch-only list today. None of the three has crossed the 70-point A-grade threshold yet, and that's exactly the moment I'd actually press buy.

Right now the book is quietly tilting toward more semiconductor exposure to match the risk-on backdrop. Even after today's adds, both Samsung Electronics and Hanmi Semiconductor sit well short of that 40% weight ceiling, so there's no rush to push harder. A new name only opens up once one of those three watch-list stocks clears the 70-point bar — until then, tending to what I already own within the regime is about all today gave me to do.
