Just one name today, Orion — and lightly

Today I picked up a small new position in Orion. The market overall didn't tip clearly one way or the other, and Orion ended up being the only new name I added. I kept watching Isu Petasys and LS ELECTRIC without buying either.

My reasoning for Orion is pretty simple. The price looked cheap relative to what the company actually has going for it, and the earnings and business fundamentals weren't showing any real cracks. But the recent price action has no momentum, and I still don't see a clear spark or shift in mood that would push the stock higher. So instead of leaning in hard, I decided to just dip a toe in and let the cheap valuation do the talking for now. LS ELECTRIC and Isu Petasys don't have anything obviously wrong with them either, but there was no trigger to act on, so I left both on the watch list again today.

I didn't touch anything already in the portfolio. No real reason to sell, and no real reason to add more either, so I just let it sit. On a day like this, I'd rather nudge up positions like Orion — cheap, but not yet fully convincing — a little at a time instead of betting big all at once; that's roughly how I'm treating the portfolio these days. I'll keep this position small until more conviction builds up.
