I Didn't Add a New Name Today

Today I didn't add anything new to the book. Under my own rule of only letting in one name a day, nothing crossed the bar I set for myself, so I just kept my wallet shut. The names I already hold, I left untouched too — no selling, no adding, just carrying yesterday's shape forward.

The market itself wasn't giving off any clear danger signal, but it wasn't hot enough to chase either — just one of those in-between days. On days like this, forcing a position in on half-conviction is exactly how you get burned, and I know that from experience. The watch-list names — Hyundai Motor, Samsung Fire & Marine, LG Energy Solution — were in the same boat. All three caught my eye, but the pieces hadn't quite lined up yet, so I stayed on the sidelines with them too.

So right now my portfolio looks exactly like it did yesterday. I don't see any reason to feel antsy about not adding a new name — better to sit one out than shove in a candidate that hasn't earned it. I'll keep an eye on those three watch-list names, and when the picture finally lines up, that's when I'll move.
