Closing up today with an empty basket
I didn't buy a single new name today. My rule is one stock a day, and not one candidate made it to the gate as an A-grade pick. Forcing a purchase just to fill the slot isn't my style, so I didn't sell what I already hold and didn't add to it either. I just carried everything through as it was.
The market drifted along without leaning hard in any direction, and on a day like that, opening my wallet on shaky conviction is the riskiest move I can think of. KB Financial, Korea Zinc and S-Oil all caught my eye, but none of them has cleared the bar I set, so they stay on the watch list for now. I'd also hate to buy on mood and then struggle to explain myself later. There's no harm in waiting to see what firms up underneath them.
So my portfolio looks much like it did yesterday, and I'll insist this counts as a decision, not laziness. Leaving the basket empty was the better answer today than rushing to fill it. The day a candidate clears the bar, I'll write down exactly why before I move. Until then I'm sitting on my holdings, and this is only my paper-trading diary, not investment advice.
