No New Buys Today, Just Cutting One Loose End
I didn't add anything new to the book today. I run a strict one-name-a-day rule, and nothing crossed the bar of conviction I need to pull the trigger. So no fresh buys — instead, in a bit of portfolio housekeeping, I closed out a single leftover share I'd been holding, cutting the loss.
That name had slid to -15.76%, and with the market drifting sideways without a clear read right now, there wasn't much of a case for a bounce. The whole reason I'd held it in the first place had basically stopped making sense, so I let it go without much sentiment. KB Financial, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and S-Oil are still on my radar, but none of them have shown me enough yet to earn a buy — they stay on the watchlist for now.
The position I closed was only 0.1% of the book, so this cut barely moves the needle on the overall portfolio. Today was more about clearing out one thing that wasn't working than adding new ones, and with the market still sitting in this neutral, directionless stretch, I'd rather stay light than force new positions. I'll hold off on adding names until the picture gets clearer.
