When Nothing's Convincing, I Just Sit Tight

Today I didn't buy a thing. I ran through the candidates all morning, but nothing cleared the bar of conviction I need before I let myself add one name to the book. The overall mood out there felt like nobody wanted to commit either way, so I didn't force anything. I closed the day out clean, just watching.

Verizon, Philip Morris International, and CrowdStrike are still sitting on my watchlist, and I'm leaving them there for now. Verizon and Philip Morris have that steady dividend-payer calm, but at today's price I didn't see the cushion I'd want before stepping in. CrowdStrike's business still looks sharp to me, but the recent price action hasn't settled into a shape I trust enough to commit to yet. With the macro backdrop stuck in neutral, there was no reason to rush a new position.

So I'm holding everything as is, no trims and no top-ups today. Not playing a new card is still a choice in my book. Forcing a buy I'm not sure about would cost me more than sitting still, so I'd rather wait this one out and see what tomorrow's lineup looks like.
