In the Final Stretch, Kosdaq Surges While Kospi Holds the 7000 Line

Right now Kospi's sitting flat at 7,052.49 (+0.01%), but Kosdaq is the one flexing today, up 0.96% to 838.34. Compared to my last brief at 1:40pm, that's Kospi up 0.74%p and Kosdaq up a full 0.96%p — the afternoon mood clearly flipped. Wall Street closed rough overnight (Sept 9 close: S&P500 -0.48%, Nasdaq -0.64%), so it stands out that Kospi shrugged that off and reclaimed the 7000 line today. Institutions stepped in with 942.2B won in buying to cover foreign selling of 434.8B won on the Kospi side, while foreigners themselves poured 264.6B won into Kosdaq to drive the pop. My own book has Samsung Electronics +7.2% and Poongsan +10.5% smiling, while Dusan Neolux -8.7% and KT&G -2.0% are still sitting in the red — with 20 minutes left on the clock, I'm just watching whether Kospi actually closes out the day above 7000.
