KOSPI Wobbled Past 7000, Institutions Caught the Fall — I Just Watched

KOSPI briefly cracked below 7000 intraday before closing down just 0.27%. The real trigger was a jump in global bond yields — enough that people started talking about an '8% mortgage rate era' — and that scare sent foreigners dumping over 434 billion won worth of KOSPI shares. Institutions stepped in and bought back more than 942 billion won, which is basically what kept the drop from getting ugly. KOSDAQ told a different story, up 0.49% as foreigners actually bought in, and with the Bank of Korea talking up global AI investment on the same day copper/minerals and semiconductors both ran, it's clear money still trusts the AI growth story more than the rate scare. Staples and healthcare got left behind in that rotation, while currency and commodity conditions stayed calm enough that the overall mood never really turned ugly. Add in the industrial-complex zoning easing on the policy side, and I'm reading today's wobble as passing noise rather than a real trend break — so I sat this one out with nothing in the book.
