Losses shrinking, but that BOK comment has me side-eyeing the rest of the day

Kospi's sitting at 6,977.24, down 1.06%, and Kosdaq's at 824.77, off 0.67% — still red, but compared to my last check-in the losses have eased by 0.79 points on Kospi and 1.13 on Kosdaq. Institutions have been scooping up 942.2 billion won worth of Kospi names to soak up the 434.8 billion won foreigners sold, while over on Kosdaq foreigners flipped to net buying at 264.6 billion won, which seems to be lifting the mood there. Overnight on Wall Street the S&P500 dropped 0.48% and the Nasdaq 0.64%, but copper and chips held up, and that's a nice backdrop for my Freeport-McMoRan (+14.3%) and Nvidia (+5.8%) positions. Then again, the Bank of Korea just flagged it's weighing another rate hike given sticky inflation and housing prices, so I'm not sure yet how that lands on sentiment for the rest of the session. Between now and the close I'll be watching whether this loss-trimming trend holds up, or whether that BOK comment starts weighing things down late.
