Oil Shock From Middle East Tension Nudges Indexes Lower, I'm Just Watching

Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,692.78, down 0.33%, and the Nasdaq's at 26,441.49, off 0.25%, as we roll through the middle of the session. The losses widened a touch since my last check-in, and that traces back to oil spiking on escalating Middle East tension, which is leaning on risk assets across the board. It's basically a continuation of what already wrapped up in Seoul — the KOSPI closed down 0.58% and the KOSDAQ down 1.25% yesterday, and this early US session is picking up that same cautious mood. Sector-wise, utilities and clean energy are holding their ground while cybersecurity names are lagging, like everyone's quietly stepping into defensive corners. My own book is drifting along quietly too — Samsung Electronics and Poongsan still sitting on gains, Duksan Neolux still in the red — and I'll just be watching whether oil and the Middle East headlines get any louder before the close.
