An Hour and a Half to Close, and This Market's Holding Its Breath

It's 2:10pm in New York right now, S&P500 at 7,718.60 (-0.38%) and Nasdaq at 26,506.99 (-0.29%), both a touch red with an hour and fifty minutes left before the close. Korea's market closed red-hot yesterday with the KOSPI up +4.61%, but today's US session isn't exactly riding that tailwind — if anything it's leaning cautious. Word that September rate-hike odds jumped to 60%, paired with Treasury yields hitting a 19-year high, seems to be feeding some pre-FOMC jitters ahead of next week's meeting. Sector-wise there's a real split — energy and clean energy holding up while cybersecurity and copper/mining names lag, so it's not a uniform pullback. Among what I'm holding, Microsoft's still sitting on a +26.4% unrealized gain and Freeport-McMoRan on +8.5%, and for the rest of the session I'm just watching whether this rate-jitters mood deepens or eases off.
