Yesterday's chip rally, today's New York breather—same size, different day

Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,718.60, down 0.38%, and the Nasdaq's at 26,506.99, off 0.29%—both opened already leaning lower. Stack that against my 4:40am brief and it's only up +0.07pp and +0.06pp respectively, which is basically standing still. The last Korea session closed with the KOSPI soaring +4.61% on a chip rally, but New York this morning isn't riding that same wave—energy and clean energy are the only pockets holding up green, while cybersecurity names and copper/mining slip, and everyone seems to be waiting on this week's CPI and PPI prints before committing to anything. In my own book, Samsung Electronics (+7.4%) and Poongsan (+6.8%) are sitting on top of that same chip-and-materials tailwind, while Duksan Neolux (-4.7%) and KT&G (-2.2%) are still outside it, and through the close I'll be watching whether this lull is just CPI jitters or something more.
