A Quiet Day, Still Easy on the Mind
The S&P 500 slipped 0.42% and the Nasdaq eased 0.41% by the close today — nothing dramatic, more like the market catching its breath. Digging into the sectors, energy and innovative tech actually held up fine while EV battery names and cybersecurity plays lagged behind. There was also that story out of Europe about China pushing robots and Korea countering with AI-home tech at IFA, and I think that kind of buzz is exactly what kept interest alive in the innovation-tech corner even as the broader tape dipped. Rate and credit conditions still look friendly, so the overall mood stayed calm, which tells me today's small pullback reads more like passing noise than any real break in the trend. I didn't add a single name to the book today — just watched from the sidelines.
