Jobs Beat, Market Wobbles — Nasdaq Took the Bigger Hit

Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,712.01 (-0.46%) and the Nasdaq at 26,475.71 (-0.41%), both sliding as the session drags on. Compared to my last check-in, the S&P slipped another 0.36 points and the Nasdaq another 0.50 points — a real flip from the open, when the Nasdaq was the lone one holding green despite the jobs shock. August payrolls came in triple what everyone expected, which lit a fire under rate-hike worries ahead of next week's inflation print, and the hawk-vs-dove chatter swirling around Fed governor Waller didn't help the mood either. Yesterday Kospi and Kosdaq closed up a strong 1.64% and 2.95%, but New York clearly isn't catching that tailwind today. My own book still has Duksan Neolux down 7.6% while Microsoft, Nvidia, and Freeport-McMoRan are holding onto gains — what I'm watching into the close is whether inflation nerves keep rattling things further.
