Kospi Takes a Breather While Kosdaq Rips on Regulatory Relief

Right now Kospi sits at 6,657.70, up 1.19%, while Kosdaq jumped to 809.81, up 2.48%. Compared to my 10:40 brief, Kospi's basically flat (-0.05pp) but Kosdaq kept accelerating, adding another 1.22pp. News that the Kosdaq market-cap delisting threshold hike got pushed back six months seems to be the spark — foreigners and institutions actually sold (about 108.2B and 183.8B won worth), yet the index shrugged it off and kept climbing anyway. Kospi got its lift from institutions buying a hefty 914.3B won net, plus a tailwind from last night's US rally and a stronger won paired with a softer dollar. My own book's got Poongsan up 10.8% and Samsung Electronics up 1.4% smiling back at me while Duksan Neolux is still nursing a 7.8% loss, and what I'm watching into the close is whether that Kosdaq selling crowd flips.
