Cybersecurity Smiled, Gold Miners Cried — I Picked Up CRWD

The S&P 500 slipped 0.35% and the Nasdaq 0.71% today, and honestly, there wasn't much out there to actually move the needle. Whatever filled the feeds — a deadlocked jury, a fancy new electric toothbrush, some Netflix ranking chatter — none of it had real market weight, so it felt more like the market catching its breath than picking a direction. What did stand out was the split between sectors: cybersecurity names had some real strength, while gold miners and industrials couldn't shake their weakness. Reads to me like money rotating out of safe havens and cyclical plays and into growth and tech. With rates and credit conditions still sitting in a friendly place, this kind of sector rotation feels like the more telling signal right now than the index's small wobble. So today I rode that cybersecurity strength and picked up CRWD — my bet that even when the index takes a breather, the heat in the sector is still very much alive.
