Nasdaq Holds Its Breath Ahead of Nvidia's Earnings

Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,684.43 (+0.09%) and the Nasdaq at 26,152.97 (+0.01%) — both basically holding their breath into the close. Still, compared to an hour ago the S&P is up 0.11pp and the Nasdaq up 0.13pp, so we've crawled a bit out of the earlier dip. Chips are stuck in wait-and-see mode ahead of tonight's Nvidia earnings, and that's what seems to be pinning the Nasdaq down — my own Nvidia stake, currently sitting at -1.1%, is tangled up in that too, so tonight's got my attention. Meanwhile copper, miners, and gold stocks are running hot while clean energy and cybersecurity lag, like money's quietly leaning toward hard assets. Yesterday's Kospi rally (+0.97%) didn't really carry over into tonight's US session, and with twenty minutes left I'm just watching how the market reacts to Nvidia's numbers.
