Still Green, But the Steam's Fading a Bit

Nasdaq's sitting at 26,079.79 (+0.38%) and the S&P500 at 7,664.56 (+0.15%) — both still green, but the gains have shrunk noticeably since my last check-in. The open was hotter: chips lit up ahead of Nvidia's earnings and had Nasdaq up as much as 0.70%, but Fed's Collins tossing out a 'we'll tighten again if inflation doesn't cool' line seems to have taken some wind out of it. Oil's down 2.8% for a second straight day and Treasury yields eased too, so it's more of a calm grind than a scare — gold and copper miners are running while cybersecurity names lag. Korea's market already wrapped up yesterday (8/25) smiling, KOSPI +0.68% and KOSDAQ +1.70%, but today's US session feels like it's marching to its own beat on Nvidia and oil rather than riding that glow. My book still has Schlumberger +0.3% and Microsoft +23.8% holding steady while Isu Petasys -7.6% and HD Hyundai Electric -7.5% sit right where they were — into the close, I'm watching the Nvidia buzz and whatever the Fed says next.
