Loaded More Gold, Trimmed the Chip Bet
No new buys today. I looked at GS, PG, and AEM, but none of them convinced me enough to pull the trigger, so I just kept watching — in a neutral market, when in doubt, stay out. I did clean house a bit though. Sold 1 share of AVGO, locking in a -14.3% loss, since the custom AI chip competition is heating up and cracking the thesis I originally bought into, and with no tailwind from this neutral market I trimmed without much hesitation. NEM, on the other hand, is running +17%-plus on strong gold, and the inflation/geopolitical hedge case only got sturdier, so with room left in the position I put a bit more cash in and added 9 shares.
