Kospi Bounces, Kosdaq Slides—A Morning Split Down the Middle

Right now Kospi's up 0.88% while Kosdaq's down a rough 4.63%, and it's like the two markets woke up in completely different moods this morning. Early headlines had Samsung Electronics tumbling over 4%, dragging Kospi to a soft open near 6,880, but where things stand now tells me that shock already got absorbed and reversed. Compared to the last brief, the percentage moves only nudged a bit (Kospi +0.13pp, Kosdaq +0.15pp), yet foreign selling widened noticeably on both boards, with institutions stepping in to buy up Kospi. That cybersecurity weakness from the last US session (8/21) seems to be echoing in today's sizable Kosdaq pullback. My own book has Poongsan holding up at +15.8% while Leeno and Duksan Neolux sit in the red and KT's roughly flat, and through the close I'll be watching whether Kosdaq's drop eases and foreign selling cools off.
