Bargain buying, calmer yields — stocks nudge a little higher

Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,676.63, up 0.46%, and the Nasdaq's at 26,166.12, up 0.38% — both still holding a mellow climb. Compared to my last brief the S&P added another 0.07 percentage points and the Nasdaq 0.11, so the gain's creeping up slowly, propped up by some early bargain buying and Treasury yields settling down a notch. There's also chatter going around that the Fed's big short-term bond purchases might be quietly acting like easing in disguise. Sector-wise, gold miners and biotech are pulling their weight while cybersecurity names lag behind, so it's not exactly a rising-tide day. My positions in Isu Petasys, HD Hyundai Electric, Leeno Industrial, and Orion are all still sitting in the red, and with a few hours left before the close, I'm just watching whether this yield-calming mood actually holds.
