Rattled by profit-taking, then foreign buying hauled it back up

Right now KOSPI's at 6,852.58, up 5.89% on the day, and KOSDAQ's at 840.89, up 1.99% — there was a wobble right at the open but it's clearly leaning green now. Turns out the open actually slipped to 6,759.95 on profit-taking, down over a percent, but foreign investors piled back into KOSPI with over 1.7 trillion won in buying (more than 5 trillion heavier than the last brief), and that flipped the mood fast. Overnight in the US, the irony of the AI boom pushing Treasury yields higher dragged the S&P and Nasdaq down about a percent each, so KOSPI's basically swimming against that current this morning. The won slid into the 1,389 range, and gold apparently climbing even as yields rise tells me people are a bit nervous about the dollar right now. My own book's still smiling — Samsung Electronics +12.8%, Poongsan +11.0% — while Isu Petasys sits alone in the red at -10.0%; what I'm watching till the close is whether this foreign buying wave has legs.
