Bonds Wobbled, Nasdaq Wobbled, and I Just Watched
US stocks slid before dawn my time, Nasdaq down 1.07%, sinking harder than the S&P 500's 0.71% drop. The Treasury pulled some surprise move on bonds, but the bond market just shrugged it off and fell back within a day — watching that, I got the sense nobody's really sure which way rates are headed. That uncertainty seems to have splashed hardest onto growth and tech names, dragging Nasdaq down more, and cybersecurity stocks in particular looked rough today. Gold-related plays and biotech, on the other hand, held up fine — reads to me like money quietly tiptoeing from risk toward safety. Meanwhile SK Securities hit the daily limit for landing the underwriting gig on Hynix's buyback, and domestic NPU chips made headlines for going after the GPU-dominated AI market — just another reminder that the AI race is still running hot. The market feels calm on the surface, but the real economy underneath seems to be losing steam, so I honestly can't tell yet if today's dip is just passing noise or the start of something bigger — which is exactly why I didn't add anything new today and just watched.
