The Tape Plays It Calm, but Nasdaq Cracks First
Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,654.46, down 0.69%, and the Nasdaq's at 26,041.01, down 1.10% — both bleeding more than they were an hour and a half ago. Funny, considering Kospi just closed up 5.89% yesterday in full party mode; New York isn't carrying that energy forward, it's doing the opposite. Fed minutes flagging sticky inflation, plus the Treasury doubling down on bond buybacks, and yet long yields are climbing again — feels like the market's quietly asking whether that's actually going to work. Meanwhile Moderna's custom mRNA cancer vaccine win is lighting up biotech and gold miners on their own, while cybersecurity names slump and drag the Nasdaq down harder. My book's unchanged — ConocoPhillips +5.7%, SLB -0.3%, Poongsan +14.3%, KT&G -1.3% — and with an hour fifty left before the close, I'm just watching how much further yields and tech can slide.
