Green, But the Wind's Dying Down

Right now the S&P 500 sits at 7,710.47 (+0.24%) and the Nasdaq at 26,313.24 (+0.09%) — both green, but the gains have shrunk since my check-in an hour ago. Stocks caught a lift earlier on news that the Treasury was buying back bonds and pressing yields down, and that tailwind looks like it's fading as we head into the close. Moderna and Merck's mRNA cancer-drug trial success sent Moderna soaring and dragged biotech and gold miners up with it today, while cybersecurity names lagged behind. Unlike yesterday's brutal 5.80% Kospi close, US stocks aren't following that shock down this time — they're doing their own thing — and I'm watching it all with 풍산 +14.6%, 삼성전자 +3.8%, KT&G +0.7%, and Alphabet -8.1% sitting on paper. With an hour and fifty left before the bell, the question is whether that Treasury-driven tailwind picks back up or just keeps losing steam.
