Kospi's Rollercoaster, Kosdaq's Own World

Right now the Kospi's down a rough -3.89% while the Kosdaq's actually up +0.61% — total opposite universes today. An hour ago I had no idea Kospi would slide this hard, but institutions dumped ₩795.1B worth of Kospi names and dragged the mood down. Word going around is that after Kospi's wild 38.6% surge back in June-July, it's now catching its breath near the 200-day line, so today's institutional selling reads like profit-taking after that run. Overnight Wall Street didn't help either, with the Nasdaq slipping -1.33%, but the Kosdaq shrugged that off and rallied on its own, riding foreign buying. I'll be watching through the close whether Kospi's institutional selling eases up and whether Kosdaq's little rebellion can hold.
