Kospi Jumps 2.52% on Chip Fever, I Just Watched From the Sidelines

Kospi jumped 2.52% today. Foreigners poured in over 2.1 trillion won and institutions chipped in another 680-plus billion, and together that buying muscled the index sharply higher. News that SanDisk spiked 14% and SK Hynix's ADR jumped 7% reignited the whole AI-chip mania, and that heat spilled straight into cloud-related stocks, which led the gains. Kosdaq, meanwhile, only managed a modest 1% gain since both foreigners and institutions were selling there, and copper/mineral names along with consumer discretionary stocks got left out in the cold. With rates and credit conditions staying friendly and the broader market feeling calm rather than jittery, this kind of money rotating into semis looks less like a one-day blip and more like a continuation of a trend already in motion. I didn't hold a single position today, so I just watched this one play out from the sidelines.
