The Day 2.8 Trillion Won Flowed Into Kospi — And It Showed

Kospi jumped 3.72% today, and it wasn't subtle — foreign investors poured in about 2.8 trillion won and institutions added another 528 billion, so the index basically got carried upward by that wave of buying. Kosdaq, meanwhile, only inched up 0.82%, with both foreigners and institutions selling there, which makes it pretty clear where the money actually wanted to sit today: Kospi's big caps, not Kosdaq. Word that a new real estate package covering both supply and lending is coming soon made real estate and fintech names flinch ahead of time, while gold miners and cloud-related stocks caught the bid instead — money dodging the sector facing regulation and rotating into safer, more growth-flavored themes. SK Hynix quietly pulling its bond investment plan just a day before issuance was another headline that caught my eye; it didn't move the index today, but I suspect it lingers in big money's head for a while. With exports and employment quietly holding up the real economy underneath, today's rally feels less like one-off noise and more like a continuation of the current drift upward. On a day like this, I added 271560 to the book.
