Twenty Minutes to the Close, and Nasdaq's Taking the Bigger Hit

With twenty minutes left before the close, the S&P500 sits at 7,732.49, down 0.27%, while the Nasdaq is off a steeper 0.54% at 26,460.37. Compared to my last check-in, both indexes have actually trimmed their losses a bit rather than widened them. Nvidia's news of a $500 billion AI-financing platform with asset managers didn't rescue chipmakers today — they traded mixed anyway — and heavyweights like Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet kept sliding, which is really what's dragging Nasdaq lower. Yesterday's (8/11) Kospi and Kosdaq both closed up, but the US session isn't catching any of that warmth today — it's cooling off on its own. My Microsoft position is still sitting at +27.5% and Nvidia at +5.1%, and with twenty minutes on the clock, the thing to watch is whether this dip stretches further or just holds right here.
