20 Minutes to the Bell: Nasdaq Slips, Nvidia Grins Alone

With 20 minutes left in the session, the S&P 500 is flat at 7,737.42 (+0.01%) while the Nasdaq is down 0.57% at 26,434.29. Compared to my last check-in around 3:10am, both indexes have slipped a touch further since then — the tape's losing steam heading into the close. What's splitting today's action is AI and self-driving names: Nvidia is ripping higher on some good vibes, but names like AMD are dropping hard, so the Nasdaq overall is getting dragged down, with weak utilities and real estate piling on. Yesterday's (8/5) blowout close back home — Kospi up over 3%, Kosdaq up over 2% — hasn't really carried over into tonight's US session. My own book is still smiling with Nvidia +6.3% and Microsoft +24.0%, while Alphabet's the lone laggard at -3.1%, and I'll be watching whether the Nasdaq digs itself a deeper hole before the bell.
