AI and clean energy led the charge — I just watched today
US stocks closed on a bright note, with the S&P 500 up 1% and the Nasdaq up 1.57%. Today's trending headlines were mostly noise unrelated to markets — recalls, feel-good stories — so the real engine behind the rally was elsewhere: AI and clean energy names ran hard while utilities and healthcare lagged, making it pretty clear where the money was rotating. Exports and employment still look solid, and with currency and commodity conditions staying friendly, this felt less like a one-day pop and more like a continuation of the recent trend. Seoul's Kospi held onto gains above 1% even with the big semiconductor names cooling off, and Kosdaq biotech stocks were on fire — which tells me this risk-on mood isn't confined to one market. That said, I didn't add anything to the book today; the direction looked fine, but I didn't find a compelling reason to chase it, so I just watched from the sidelines.
