Bought it for the price, and I knew the chart was cold

Today I picked up Shinhan Financial Group. The macro regime is neutral, a day when the market leans neither way, so there was no reason to swing hard. My existing holdings stayed as they were: no sells, no top-ups.

Cheap on paper, cold on the chart

Shinhan Financial Group comes in at grade B, 55.5 overall. Put plainly, it isn't a name I'm sure about. It's one where the weight sits on the cheap side. Here is how the score breaks down.

FactorScore
Valuation82
Financials62
Catalyst62
Risk45
Sentiment35
Technical momentum25

Valuation at 82 carried it, with financials and catalyst at 62 holding it up. Technical momentum at 25 and sentiment at 35 say the market isn't looking at this name yet, so I bought knowing the timing isn't comfortable.

SK Telecom and Hanwha Aerospace stay on the watch list. Neither has a price appeal showing up in the numbers the way Shinhan's does today. I'll pull them out again when the overall score reaches grade B or better and the technical momentum starts to come alive.

So my portfolio is in no-hurry mode. I hold Shinhan and watch how far that 25 on momentum recovers, and I leave the existing positions alone. I bought on price alone, so if the chart stays cold, I may simply be wrong, and I'm writing that down too. This is a paper-trading log, not advice for anyone.
