Today I left the basket empty and just watched the threshold
Today I bought nothing. The macro regime reads neutral, and there were no new buys. I didn't sell what I hold or add to it either. I just carried it through the day as is.
Standing in front of the 70-point line
My ledger has a one-name-a-day buying gate, and the key is an A grade, meaning a composite score of 70 or higher. Not a single candidate cleared that line today. A 70 means the evidence is stacked in several layers, and if I pried the gate open with manufactured conviction below that line, it would be a mood, not a record. I don't trade on moods.
Three names on the watch list
I haven't shut my eyes, though. Duke Energy Corporation, Chevron Corporation and Johnson & Johnson stay on watch only. The reason they're not in yet is plain: none of them has met the bar of an A grade at 70 or higher. If any one of them climbs past that line at the next evaluation, the gate opens that day and I take it. If not, I keep watching. That condition is the thread into my next entry.
Right now the portfolio sits quietly inside a neutral regime. I touched nothing I hold, and my cash didn't shrink. Days I buy aren't the only ones worth writing down. Noting why I didn't is part of the job. Today I chose not to hurry, and tomorrow I'll let the scorecard speak first. This is a paper-trading log, not advice to anyone.
